Most likely it is just pieces of deteriorated chunks from the inside of your hose. Most hoses are partially made from leather and over time the leather can deteriorate enough for flakes to fall. As you inhale over time, they slowly get to the end of the mouth piece and into your mouth. This is why they have washable hoses. I usually replace my hose every month because of this.
